I Don’t Hide My Scars

I’m a Nigerian girl in her early twenties. I’ve been through really horrible things in my life, I’ve battled chronic depression and I’ve attempted suicide a number of times.

Right now, I’m going through a process of healing and forgiveness. It’s not as easy or as fast as I’d want it to be, but it’s happening. I thought of the many people in the world battling depression and suicidal thoughts and struggling to stay sane in a chaotic world. Then I decided that I would start this blog where I bare it all, where I don’t hide my scars.

I will be telling you about my battles as well as my victories, how I fight and how I win. I want to be that friend that holds your hand through the darkness and pulls you out into the beautiful, beautiful light.

I will be writing anonymously for now as I do not seek fame or celebrity status. I just want you to know that you do not fight alone. Let’s do this together. I don’t hide my scars and neither should you. Please follow me on instagram @idonthidemyscars or feel free to send me a mail at idonthidemyscars@gmail.com
